Since 1985, the annual 5K provides the opportunity for people to show their support and “save the day” by helping to raise funds and awareness for mentorship and advocacy programs. This year, our mission is to recruit 1,500 heroes and raise $100,000 to benefit these programs.
Registration is now open. Whether it is your favorite character or one you created, heroes of all ages, ability and creativity are welcome. Team registration discounts are available.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged through May 30th, 2018. However, walk up registration is available on race day, but for a higher rate than the pre-registration pricing.
Heroes will gather for a post-race celebration. Food and beverages will be provided to help you refuel and recover for your next adventure.

OUR 2017 SPONSORS!
Founded in 1985, Compeer of Greater Buffalo is a private, not-for-profit mental health agency. Its mission is to use the power of volunteer friends and mentors to improve the lives of children, adults, and seniors who are striving for optimal mental health. Currently, Compeer has over 250 active matches of mentors to friends, with more people waiting to be matched with a new friend/mentor. Compeer uses the power of volunteer friendship to change lives and improve people’s mental health and well-being.
Compeer Inc. envisions a day when all communities embrace individuals and their families living with mental health challenges; when prevention begins early with children and their families; when living, learning, working and volunteering in the community is given expression through the social inclusion of all individuals and supported by the power of friendship and hope.
For more than 50 years, the Mental Health Association (MHA) of Erie County, Inc. has promoted mental health and wellness in our community and supported individuals and families who are challenged by mental illness. The MHA provides numerous programs and services for children, adults and families throughout Erie County.
The Mental Health Association of Erie County seeks to meet the ever-changing mental health needs of people of all ages by providing education, public information, prevention programs, training, advocacy and supportive services that produce measurable results.
