The countdown to race day!
Fundraising is Easy… Just Follow These Simple Steps:

Fundraising 101: 7 Steps to Success

  1. Share Our Cause: Remember why we race and share why supporting abused and neglected children is important to our community.

  2. Start Fundraising Early: update your online personal page and set a fundraising goal. The earlier you start, the easier it will be to reach your goals.

  3. Make an e-mail, telephone, or address list of your prospects

  4. Choose a fundraising method: E-mail, letters, postcards, and in-person asks are all proven ways to raise funds. (If you fundraise online, Superhero Race & Wellness Walk automatically receives the credit card pledges of your sponsors through a secure website.). Remember you can mail in or bring in your cash or check donations to our office before the event.

  5. Obtain corporate funding: Your employer could be a ready source of funds. Ask your Human Resource department if a matching gift program exists. The same goes for the companies who employ your supporters – ask your donors if their companies match their gifts, then fill out and send us their matching gift form.

  6. Mail or bring in your cash or check pledges: Turn in your cash and checks at the St. George Orthodox Church near Delaware Park at Packet Pick-up on race day. Or mail your donations to our offices below.

  7. Thank your sponsors: A small expression of gratitude can go a long way. Send a letter or e-mail, call them, or thank them in person. That may be all you need to convince them to give to you again next year.
